Alfred Griggs

He was preceded in death by his wife Winifred Griggs. Alfred is survived by his four children, Mavanee (Tom) Smallwood of Lafayette Colorado, Newel Ray Griggs of Douglas Wyoming, Natacha (Richard) Liddle of Cumming Georgia, Neysha (David) Quick of Livermore California, 11 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. He was born on March 26, 1926 in Driggs Idaho. Alfred was a graduate of Ricks College of Rexburg Id. where he obtained his teaching degree. He served in the Air Force during World War II and also went on a mission in Texas for the L.D.S. church. He moved to the Livermore valley in 1954 to start his teaching career and did so for 34 years in the Livermore school district.

Alfred was an advocate of reading and very active in his church until the decline of his health a few years ago. Funeral services will be held in Driggs Idaho on Wednesday June 2, 2010 at 12:00 Noon with a visitation preceding the funeral for an hour. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Livermore California.
