Benjamin “Ben” Bates, 41, of Lyons, KS passed away October 13, 2015 in Weld County, CO.
He was born November 13, 1973 in Powell, WY to Steven and Mary Walters Bates.
He was Owner-President of WestCrete-Concrete. Ben Graduated from Teton High School in 1992 and Ricks College in Rexburg with a Construction Management Degree.
He was an active Member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saint serving as the Bishop of his ward; volunteered for Boy Scouts of America Troop 7111, Both Of Great Bend, KS
He Married Angela “Angie” Leigh Barnard on May 2, 1997 in Salt Lake City, UT.
He is Survived by his Wife Angela; three sons Jesse, Luke and Oren; three daughters Cameryn, Caroline and Annaleigh; Mother Mary Bates of Driggs; Siblings George & Susan Bates of Driggs, Ruth &Bill Loveland of Burlington, WY, Rachel Bates of Driggs, Debra Bates of San Gabriel, CA, Brenda & Ron Perry of Layton, UT, Rebecca & Kipp Manwaring of Idaho Falls, Kamele & Steve Crabtree of Paradise, CA, Jennie & David Perry of Vernal, UT, Fran & Terry Stanworth of Burlington, WY, Martha & Lance Layman of Midlothian, VA, Charlotte & Ben Loveland of Kearns, UT, Maren & Christian Phillips of Eagle Mountain, UT.
He was preceded in death by his Son Jack Bates and his Father Steven Bates
Services will on Saturday, October 24, 2015 at the Driggs LDS Church at 11 a.m. The visitation will at 9:30 a.m. prior to funeral. The burial will be at the Bates Cemetery.
