Brett Watson Irby

Brett Watson Irby, 35, of Idaho and formerly of Graham, North Carolina passed away on March 17, 2026 due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was the son of Bruce and Frieda Irby and was a 2009 graduate of Southern Alamance High School. Brett was an outdoorsman who enjoyed snowboarding, hiking, fishing, surfing and white water rafting. He was employed with Teton Fasteners in Idaho.

Other than his parents, Brett leaves behind two sisters; Pamela Thaxton and her husband Matt and Tammi Riley; niece, Riley Thaxton and nephew, Jacob Thaxton; his grandmother, Patsy Ruth Ervin; his loving girlfriend, Eleanor Kielland and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Brett had a kind and caring manner. His infectious smile and sense of humor touched those who knew him. He always wanted to make the world a better place.

On Tuesday, March 31, 2026 the family will greet friends and family for a time of visitation at Rich and Thompson Funeral Service in Burlington, 306 Glenwood Avenue, Burlington, NC from 4:00 – 6:00pm.

In lieu of flowers, friends may make donations to The Red Cross or any disaster relief charity of their choice.
