Edith Louise Huffman, age 56, was born February 2, 1961 in Lexington, NE to Hugh and Nancy Jorgensen. Edith attended Lexington High school in Lexington NE, where she participated in band and journalism while spending her summers participating in 4H, girl scouts and youth forest services. She had spent the first half of her life in Nebraska until July, 1996 when she moved to Teton Valley and had lived ever since. When she wasn’t at work at Kwik Way, where she was employed for nearly 16 years, Edith taught quill and beadwork classes at various outdoor schools. She also volunteered her time on the Library board in Merna Nebraska 1992-1995. Activities she enjoyed were sewing, beadwork, reading, and spending time on her computer. Although Edith and George Michaud had spent twenty years together, they married on May 19th, 2017.

Edith is preceded in death by her parents Hugh and Nancy Jorgensen and her younger sister Beverly Kay Rollenhagen while survived by her aunt and uncle Bonnie and Larry LaMay of Nebraska, three daughters, Shaunna Perkins of Colorado( Husband Leon Colquette), Lauretta Huffman, and Abigail Gentry of Nebraska (Husband Michael Gentry) and her husband, George Michaud of Teton Valley. Also stepchildren Deanna Michaud of Colorado, Candes Shewmaker of Texas, and Andrew Michaud of Texas. She is also survived by nephews Jeremy Jones, Michael Jones, Andy Jones, Brett Jones, Brian Watkins (wife Emily Watkins and three children Harper, Landry, and Phinley), James Watkins, and niece Rebecca Watkins. Edith is also survived by two grandchildren, Elijah Howard and Cayden Anderson.
Memorial will be held at the Depo Pavilion park in Victor, ID Monday, June 19th, 2017 11am to 1pm. Coming from Driggs, you drive into Victor, turn right at the stoplight and the first right after the old Timberline.
