Evangeline Jensen

October 8, 1918 — September 9, 2013

Evangeline Henrie Jensen passed away Sept. 9, 2013 in Boise at her daughter's home of old age. She was married George Ephraim Jensen Oct. 8, 1939 in Salt Lake City Temple. George preceded her in death. They had four children, George Conard Jensen of Ivins, Utah, Darwin Henrie Jensen of Boise, Shauna Christoperson of Boise, and Sheryl Vamedoe of Oakland, Tenn. They have 20 grand children and 35 great grand children. Mother (Vannie as she was known) lived all her life in Teton Valley. Mother and Dad moved to Boise in 2008 to be closer to family. Mother graduated from Ricks College in Rexburg with a teaching degree. Mother taught school in Swan Valley for one year before she was married. Mother was active in the LDS Church and held many callings. Mother's face was very familiar at the Corner Drug where she worked for 40 years. She was also a cook at Teton High School for many years. A viewing is planned for Friday, September 13, 2013 at Teton Valley Mortuary in Driggs starting at 6:30 through 8 p.m. A service will be Saturday, September 14 at the Driggs Stake house starting at 11 a.m. There will be a viewing before the service at 10 a.m. and an internment following the service at the Driggs Cemetery.
