LeRoy Otto Weston was born to Otto Helmut Weston and Mary Ruth Burgener Weston on September 20, 1936, in Provo, Utah. His parents brought him home to Driggs about two weeks later, where he grew up. He attended school there and graduated from Teton High School in 1954. After graduation, he joined the United States Air Force and left for boot camp in Amarillo, Texas. Following boot camp, he was stationed in California and Washington, and spent the final part of his military time in Fairbanks, Alaska, where he was trained as a jet mechanic. He worked primarily on the F-89 Scorpion and the B-52. When he returned to Driggs in 1959, his cousin set him up on a blind date. It was love at first sight. He Married Juanita Marie Barton on June 21,1960. At the time, he was working for Fall River Electric. In December of 1961, they welcomed their first child, Jacqueline Marie. They later moved to Tacoma, Washington, for about a year while he worked for Boeing. They then returned to Idaho Falls, where he began working for the City of Idaho Falls Water Department. In April of 1965, they welcomed their first and only son, Vincent LeRoy. In June of 1968, they welcomed their second daughter, Jennifer Ruth, and in June of 1972, their third daughter, Victoria Elizabeth arrived. Shortly afterward, the family moved back to Driggs, where he started his cabinet shop and worked at Targhee during the winter, grooming the slopes with the snowcat. In early 1978, they moved back to Idaho Falls, and he returned to work at Fall River Electric. After leaving Fall River Electric, he started driving semi-trucks,a job he continued until his retirement in 2011. He enjoyed camping, boating, and fishing in all seasons, especially when he was with family. His grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the light of his life. He loved attending their school performances and extracurricular activities.
He was preceded in death by his parents: (Mary and Otto), four brothers: (Norvell Ray, Leon “Slim,” Wayne and Dean B.), Spouse: (Juanita) and son (Vincent). He is survived by three daughters: Jacqueline Larsen, Jennifer (Brett) Ballard and Victoria (Randy) Weston. Four grandchildren: Kira (Erik) Young, Eden (Mark) Speirs, Keegan (Juliene) Weston and Ace [Paige Rowberry (fiancée)] Ballard. Four Great-Grandchildren: Kaydence Young, Desmond Weston, Claire Weston, Anastasia Weston, and two sisters; Norma Hanson and Mary Ilene Hammond.
