Luis nació el 25 de agosto de 1967 en Zapotillo, Sinaloa, México. Luis deja tras de sí a su amada esposa, María Villa; sus hijas, Jhanyce Acosta (Irineo Acosta), Katya O’Connor y Erika Phillips (Wiley Phillips); y sus queridos nietos: Vanessa Galaviz, Adán Acosta, Jhannah Acosta, Summit Phillips y Canyon Phillips. También le sobreviven su madre, María Vázquez Villa, y sus hermanos: Elizabeth Olivas, Marisol Olivas, Jorge Villa, Laura Ramírez, Samuel Villa, Iram Villa y Anika Villa. Fue precedido en muerte por su padre, Reyes Villa Serrano, su hermano Joel Villa y su hermana Mena Selina.

Los servicios funerarios se llevarán a cabo el sábado 6 de septiembre a las 11:00 a.m. en la funeraria Grand Teton Funeral Home. Las visitas se realizarán el viernes por la noche de 6:30 a 8:00 p.m., y el sábado por la mañana de 10:00 a 10:45 a.m., también en la funeraria.

Luis será profundamente extrañado y recordado por siempre por el amor que dio, las vidas que tocó y el legado que deja.

Luis Rey Villa Vázquez, age 58, passed away peacefully on August 30, 2025, in Victor, Idaho. Luis was born on August 25, 1967, in Zapotillo, Sinaloa, Mexico. A man of great dedication and integrity, he devoted much of his life to building and construction — always ensuring his work was done right and with pride. Luis found deep fulfillment not only in his craft but in helping others whenever he could.

Family was the heart of Luis's life. He cherished every moment spent with his wife, daughters, and grandchildren. Celebrating birthdays — especially his own — brought him joy and laughter. Luis also had a passion for cooking, he loved preparing meals for his family and sharing food as a way to bring people together.

His warm presence, hardworking spirit, and deep love for his family will be remembered by all who knew him.

Luis is survived by his beloved wife, Maria Villa; his daughters, Jhanyce Acosta (Irineo Acosta) , Katya O’Connor, and Erika Phillips (Wiley Phillips); and his treasured grandchildren: Vanessa Galaviz, Adan Acosta, Jhannah Acosta, Summit Phillips, and Canyon Phillips. He is also survived by his mother, Maria Vázquez Villa, and his siblings: Elizabeth Olivas, Marisol Olivas, Jorge Villa, Laura Ramirez, Samuel Villa, Iram Villa and Anika Villa. He was preceded in death by his father, Reyes Villa Serrano, and his brother, Joel Villa and sister Mena Selina.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 6 at 11:00 a.m. at the Grand Teton Funeral Home. Visitations will take place on Friday evening from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m., and Saturday morning from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m., also at the funeral home.

Luis will be deeply missed and forever remembered for the love he gave, the lives he touched, and the legacy he leaves behind.
