Maggie Myrtle Lafever Clemons 97 Maggie Myrtle Lafever Clemons graduated from this life on March 11, 2015. Myrtle was born to Swen Sceva La Fever and Maggie Lena Ford La Fever on January 11, 1918 in Silverpoint Tennessee. She was the 5th of 15 children. She married Jesse Edward “Dick” Clemons on June 26, 1936. When three of her sisters moved to Idaho, Myrtle and Dick moved their family as well. They were sealed in the Idaho Falls Temple on March 11, 1960. Myrtle was a hard worker all her life. She grew vegetables which she canned and gorgeous flowers. Her rock gardens were famous in Rexburg. She always worked to make ends meet. She cleaned homes in Tennessee. She worked at Madison Memorial Hospital as a housekeeper while getting her GED and taking LPN classes. She received her Licensed Practical Nursing Certificate and worked in Madison Memorial Hospital and surrounding facilities. Along with her husband she served a mission in Cannon Ball, North Dakota. She and Dick retired to St. George Utah in 1988, where they enjoyed temple service and the warm weather. After Dick's death in to 1992, Myrtle continued to live next door to her two sisters in St. George. In 2009, Myrtle moved to Pocatello Idaho where she resided at Quail Ridge and was loved and admired by residents and staff. Myrtle participated in activities, outings, and family functions until her death. She was preceded in death by her husband Jesse Edward “Dick” Clemons, 12 brothers and sisters, a son-in-law, and two granddaughters. She is survived by Fred (Norma Jean) Clemons, Pocatello Idaho, Fay (Robert) Clark, of Menan Idaho, and Overton Nevada, and Ronda (Theron-deceased) Winters of Saint Anthony, Idaho, 9 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, and 27 great-great-grandchildren, Sisters Hazel (Jack) Gilson of Twin Falls and Roberta (Francis-diseased) Winks of Pilot Rock Oregon. A viewing will be held on Saturday, March 21, at 10 am with services at 11 AM at the LDS Central Stake building at 226 Oakwood. Interment will be at Annis Butte Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Tyson Clemons (grandson) Valley Mortuary of Driggs Idaho. Family wishes to thank the staff and resident of Quail Ridge, Monta Vista Hills and Encompass Home Health and Hospice for their love and service.
