It is with deep sadness that the family of Marlene Nicole Wusinich (age 49) announce her passing from cancer on June 16, 2025 at her home in Driggs, Idaho. She is survived by her husband Scott, children William and Vivian, and a large extended family throughout the United States.
Marlene grew up in Washington state and then traveled to South Dakota to attend college at Black Hills State. After graduating in 2001, Marlene took a summer road trip to Jackson Hole, WY, where she met Scott, the love of her life. They were married shortly thereafter and built a beautiful life together in the Teton Valley.
As anyone who knew Marlene could tell you, she was an artist to her core. She marveled at and expressed gratitude for the immense beauty in the world, and in turn brought beauty to the world through her art and generous heart. She brought joy to peoples’ lives with a kind word or gesture, and her mischievous, good-spirited humor, and would not hesitate to go out of her way to help total strangers. She was as those who knew her fiercely competitive in chess, badminton and euchre and was known to carry a chess board with her in case she met a worthy opponent.
While Marlene had deep compassion and empathy for all, she saved her deepest love for her family, especially for Scott, William, and Vivian. They were the center of her life and she was the best mother and partner one could ask for. Her family is comforted by the support of our community.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Teton Valley Food Pantry.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, August 17th at 4 pm at the Moose Creek Ranch, 2733 E 10800 S, Victor.
