Randy Murdock

June 2, 1943 — August 28, 2012

Randy Lee Murdock, lifelong Teton Valley Resident passed away August 28, 2012, at his home surrounded by his loving family. Randy was born on June 2, 1943, to Russell and Bertha Murdock. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served a two and a half year mission in Denmark starting in 1962. He was sealed to his eternal companion, Donna Gay Summers, on August 24, 1966, in the Idaho Falls Temple. He enjoyed fishing, riding motorcycles, square dancing, horseback riding, farming, traveling and especially spending time with his 12 grandchildren. When he was not farming, he spent almost 20 years driving the Cart Bus and loved to volunteer his time sharing his love of square dancing with the school children of Teton Valley.

He was a member of the JC's, served honorably in the Idaho National Guard and was a square dance caller for over 25 years.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Donna Gay; five children, Wendy (Doug) Wilson of Victor; Becky (Bart) Mickelsen of West Jordan, Utah; Candy (Wayne) Johnson of Chapin; Cory (Katie Jo) Murdock of Chapin; and Anney (Chris) Burroughs of Green River, Wyoming; twelve grandchildren; one brother and two sisters.

He is proceeded in death by one son, Robby, his parents and infant brother.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, September 1, at 11:00 a.m. in the Driggs Stake Center. Friends and family may call at Valley Mortuary Friday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. and again at the Driggs Stake Center Saturday from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. In honor of Randy's love of the beauty of Teton Valley, in lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Teton Valley Museum in his name.
