Rodney Taylor

April 11, 1945 — March 12, 2019

Rodney L Taylor was born on April 11, 1945 to George Gideon Taylor and Elva Afton Drake Taylor. He lived on the ranch his grandfather homesteaded in Cedron all of his life. Rodney passed away on March 12, 2019 at the age of 73. Rodney married Kerry Roshelle Kay on June 28, 1967. Together they had a son, Mark Sterling Head, and 2 daughters, Raquel Nicole Taylor-Durtschi and Heather Lynn Taylor-Allen. Rodney worked for his dad wrangling dudes, and helped his mom run the swimming pool. He built trails around Grand Jean, worked on the power line trails, bugged up in the forest, built houses, made wonderful creations in his woodworking shop, and always ranched. What spare time he had, he could be found in his wood shop, in his basement tying flies, out on the river testing those flies, in his chair reading a book or magazine, or usually working on a new project around the ranch.

He was preceded in death by his parents George and Elva Taylor; siblings, Lena Viola Taylor Cox and Ronald J. Taylor.

He is survived by his wife Kerry; children son, Mark Sterling Head, and 2 daughters, Raquel Nicole (Dick, now deceased) Taylor-Durtschi and Heather Lynn (Judd) Taylor-Allen; a brother Rocky Z. Taylor, and his 4 grandsons, Ted James Allen, Jacob Ryan Allen, John Luke Allen, and Ransom Gideon Allen.
