With heavy hearts and endless love, we announce the passing of Ronald LaVere Hunt, who left this world on July 28, 2026, after courageously battling cancer. While cancer may have touched the final chapter of his story, it never defined the man he was. His life was one of strength, resilience, hard work, unwavering love, and quiet determination.Ron was born on March 29, 1967, in Ogden, Utah. From an early age, he developed the work ethic, determination, and character that would become the foundation of the life he built. On December 18, 1987, he married the love of his life, Debbie Hunt. Together they built a life centered on faith, family, and hard work. They eventually made their home in Driggs, Idaho, where they raised their three children and, in 2008, fulfilled a dream by opening and operating their family-owned auto-collision repair center, Ron Hunt's C.R.A.S.H. Through countless hours of dedication and sacrifice, Ron built not only a successful business but also a reputation for honesty, exceptional craftsmanship, and treating every customer like family.Ron was a man who built a beautiful life with his own two hands. Whether he was restoring his classic car, lending a helping hand to someone in need, or simply spending time with the people he loved most, he lived with purpose and integrity. He believed in doing things the right way, giving his best, and showing up for the people who mattered. His work reflected his craftsmanship, but his character reflected something even greater—a humble man whose greatest accomplishments could never be measured by titles or possessions, but by the lives he touched.To know him was to know loyalty, kindness, and perseverance. He found joy in the simple moments, took pride in providing for his family, and never stopped teaching those around him through his actions. His quiet strength became an anchor for those who loved him.When cancer entered his life, he faced it the same way he faced every challenge —with courage, grit, and grace. He fought a valiant battle that inspired everyone around him. Even during the hardest days, he continued to show resilience, reminding us what true strength looks like. His journey was not defined by illness, but by the extraordinary way he chose to live through it. He never let cancer steal the dignity, humor, or love that made him who he was.

Above all else, Ron was devoted to his family. His greatest legacy is the love he poured into them and the values he leaves behind. His presence was steady, his heart was generous, and his love will continue to echo through generations.He is lovingly survived by his devoted wife, Debbie Hunt; his children, Racey (Mataya) Hunt, Brody (Sara) Hunt, and Destiny Hunt; and his ten cherished grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings, Alan (Janice) Hunt, Shellie Beckstrom, Peggy (Dan) McColloch, Curtis (Cindy) Hunt, and Lisa (Ward) Minson, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, dear friends, and all who were blessed to know him.Ron has taken his final journey home, where he was welcomed with open arms by his beloved parents, Wallace and JoAnn Hunt, his sister Nancy Hansen, and those who had gone before him. While his family grieves his absence, they find peace in knowing he is finally free from pain and resting in perfect peace.Though our hearts are broken by his absence, we find comfort in knowing that his suffering has ended and that his spirit lives on in every lesson he taught, every laugh he shared, every project he completed, and every life he helped shape.A viewing will be held on Sunday, August 2, from 4:00–7:00 p.m. at Grand Teton Funeral Home in Driggs, Idaho.
