Roy Ringel

Roy was born August 22, 1922 in Paris, Idaho to Frederick and Charlotte Price Ringel. He served in the Navy during World War II. He married Roberta May Mackley in 1948 in the Logan, Utah L.D.S. Temple. He worked for the Teton County School District for 34 years. Roberta died in 1985 and a year later he married Naoma Woodhouse.

He loved to hunt, fish, snowmachine, camp, anything to do with the outdoors. He enjoyed playing basketball and football.

He is survived by his wife Naoma Ringel; 2 sons Brent Ringel of Firth, Idaho and Logan (Lori) Ringel of Tetonia, Idaho; 2 daughters: Charlotte (Vance) Moulton of Victor, Idaho and Linda (Francis) Dalley of Arco, Idaho; 6 stepchildren: Bob (Bobby) Woodhouse; Sandi (Robert) Eldridge; Pamela (Mark) Warren; Adrian (Nikki) Woodhouse; Gayle (Brent) Moulton and Megan Woodhouse; a brother Robert Ringel; a sister Gracellen (Spelling is correct) Michaelson; 19 grandchildren; 20 step-grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren and 18 step-great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his first wife Roberta; son Dale; a grandson Rhett Moulton; granddaughter Taylor Ringel; step-grandchildren Angela Savage and Damon Dalley; brothers: Ralph, Fred, Earl and LaVoy Ringel; sisters: Cumorah Ringel, Daisy Nelson and Pearl Ringel; step daughters: June Woodhouse and Ann Woodhouse.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 8, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. at the Driggs L.D.S. Church. A visitation will be on Thursday from 6 - 8 P.M. at the Valley Mortuary in Driggs and then for an hour prior to the funeral at the church. Burial will be in the Victor Cemetery.
