Stephen J. Hansen

Stephen John Hansen was born in Driggs, Idaho on March 22, 1944, and passed away in Tetonia, Idaho on August 9, 2023, at the age of 79.
Steve grew up in Teton Valley where he graduated from Teton High School. While in high school he was on the basketball team and helped with chores around his family's ranch.
After High School, he married Linda Whitmore. Soon after they were married he left to serve in the Vietnam War for 18 months. After his return, Steve and Linda began their life in Teton Valley
with a small ranch where they raised their three children, Erika, Brandon, and Sheridon. He supported his family by working construction and spent 21 years as a Teton County employee
keeping roads open in the winter and smooth in the summer.
Steve loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them in the mountains. Steve also took
pride in his ranch where he raised cattle and horses. Steve enjoyed hooking up his team of horses with a sleigh full of hay to feed his cattle in the winter.
Steve’s wife, three kids, seven grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren, will miss him dearly

Funeral services will be on Monday, August 14, 2023 at 11 am at the Tetonia LDS Church House. The family will receive friends  from 10-10:45 prior to the funeral at the church on Monday.
