Steven Beard

Steven Don Beard, 63, of Tetonia, Idaho, son of Lyle and Trixie Beard, passed away December 21, 2025. Born on July 19, 1962 in Teton Valley hospital. He resided in South Leigh Canyon under the beloved shadow of Beard’s Mountain.

Steve graduated from Teton Valley High School in 1980 where he was an honour student and excelled in gymnastics. He attended Ricks College, BYU Provo and then went on to obtain his LPN nursing degree from College of Eastern Idaho in less than the required twenty four months. In the years that followed, Steve worked in many different capacities in the nursing and home health field where his patients knew and loved him for his compassion, empathy and professional competence.

Steve, with the help of his dad, built his dream home, a beautiful log cabin overlooking the Beard property. He had an expert talent for making things grow and creating a sanctuary full of ponds, bridges and wild flowers. He had a special connection to animals, especially birds and dogs. This is where his heart felt most at home.

He is survived by his mother, Trixie Beard, his siblings, Sally Heinz, Gary (Jeannette) Beard, Doug (Regina) Beard, Joe (Anjanette) Beard, and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his two beloved dogs, Opey, and Chester, father, Lyle Beard, brother Danny Beard, sister-in-law Tawni Beard, brother-in-law Randall Heinz, and two nephews, Ernie and Jacob Beard.

There will be a private family gathering, Saturday, December 27, 2025. Burial will be at the Cache Clawson Cemetery in Tetonia, Idaho.
