Thelda Allen

Thelda Moulton Allen died Feb. 29, 2012 at her home in Victor surrounded by her loving family. She was born July 17, 1921 at her parent's home in Victor She was the 4th child and only daughter of John Thomas Moulton and Arabell Orgill. She attended school in Victor and graduated from Victor High School in 1938. She married Harlon Allen on Jan 23, 1946 and they made their home in Victor where Harlon farmed. They spend 60 happy years together. He passed away Jan. 24, 2006. Thelda was a happy person. She often sang as she worked in her garden and cared for her house. She spent many hours caring for and loving her children and grandchildren. Thelda was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Over the years she served faithfully in many callings especially Primary and Relief Society. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harlon Allen, a son, Frank Earl Allen, and her four brothers, Tharon, Delmar, Lester, and Maurice Moulton. She is survived by three sons, Gale Allen of Rexburg; Doyle (Mary Lou) Allen , and Carl (Susan) Allen of Victor; and two daughters, Leora (Tom Walker) of Raytown, MO; and Nelda (Marty Higley) of Peyton, CO; 37 Grandchildren, and 65 Great Grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 9, 2012 at 11:00 P.M. at the Victor L.D.S. Church with a visitation from 7-8:30 P.M. Thursday at the church and then for an hour prior to the funeral.
