Virginia McBride

She was born June 20, 1949 in Casper, WY to Robert L. Bush and Doris V. Rockelman. She grew up in Casper, WY and was a member of the Troopers Drum and Bugle Corp as part of rifle division in the color guard. During her years with the Troopers, they had 7 national championships in a row, one of which included the victory of the 1965 World Open. She had many fond memories traveling the United States and abroad during these competitive years.

Ginny met Richard C. McBride in Casper, WY and after a whirlwind courtship married him on June 9, 1973 in Jackson, WY. While married they lived in Wyoming, Arizona, Nevada, and then made Teton Valley, ID their final home. Ginny had a sparkle in her eye and a contagious smile. She loved meeting people and making friends with everyone she met. She was an entrepreneur in spirit and started three different businesses during her lifetime. She also worked at the Bank of Commerce in Driggs, ID. Her hobbies included anything having to do with water, she was an avid swimmer, water skier, and life guard. She was talented with floral arrangements and various crafts. She enjoyed sharing her talents with others in hopes of bringing a smile, especially to those who she felt needed it the most. Ginny was extremely generous and compassionate to those around her.

Ginny is survived by her husband Richard, her two daughters Lea-Ann (Rafael) Gomez, Victoria Rice and son James (Susan) McBride. One sister Karen (Francis H.) McVay. She has six grandchildren: Nicolas, Destiny, Alyssa, Alanna, Taylor, & Tryssa. One great-grandchild: Rafael Gomez. She was also known as mother to many "foster" children. She was preceded in death by her parents.

A viewing will be held Thursday, December 13th from 7:00pm - 8:30pm and on Friday, December 14th from 9:30 am -10:45 am. Funeral services will be Friday, December 14th at 11:00 am. All services will be held at the LDS Chapel in Victor, ID.
